Now more than a decade into its
mission of building a better bakery
on a national scale, Crestone Group
was formed in 1998 by acquiring one small
wholesale bakery in Carlsbad, CA.
Crestone’s three principals – CEO David Wells,
COO Charlie Bass and CFO Brian Wells – came
into the endeavor after having partnered since
the late 1980s, when they first pooled their
entrepreneurial efforts in the restaurant realm
with Aspen’s Gourmet Pizza in Pacific Beach, CA.
